ALLIES Church

We have always stated that ALLIES is more than a club, it is a church. However, it is very hard to unite as a church with the little time in which we are given to meet at lunch on school days. This year, God has released a strong vision within the leadership. From this vision came the idea for "The 4th Night". It was expected to be a time of fellowship, worship, and a teaching that would help us to better understand our roles as members of this church called ALLIES. We have had two of these nights and both have been very successful in terms of attendence, however we would of course love to see even more people come out. The worship has been awesome, along with the fellowship, and there is no question that God is truly speaking to our hearts in powerful ways. It is how we decide to use what we learn in these messages however that will either change us for the better, or cause us to remain the same without growth in our lives. This is just the beginning of what God has planned for Arcadia. The Lord is searching for hearts that will surrender everything to Him, that will seek to do His will and be reflections of God's love. I pray that God will convict our hearts and change our lives. That He may shine through us, so that He may touch the world through our lives.

The Joy of His Spirit

I was talking with a friend of mine, and he asked me this, "Have you ever been in the Spirit and the joy of the Lord is upon you, then as soon as you left that state of being in the Spirit you feel like crap?" I told him that I knew exactly what he meant. Because I had felt like that earlier that same day. I was thinking about this, and wondering why it happens sometimes? It isn't like that every time, only sometimes. So why? We all know that the presence of the Lord is true joy.

Gal 5:22-23
(22)"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,(23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

These things have been characterized as fruit of the Spirit. Which means we cannot produce these things, only the Holy Spirit can. The first three have to do with our attitude toward God. He brings us TRUE love, TRUE joy, TRUE peace. The second three have to do with our relationships toward one another. Longsuffering, kindness, goodness, they are all made manifest in us and through only by the Spirit. The last three concern principles that guide the conduct of a Christian life. Through the Spirit we are faithful, we are gentle, and we have self-control. We need to understand that none of these things come from our own efforts. They are virtues which are given to us by God. And the more we are in relationship with Him, and the more that we let God take first place in our lives, the more that these graces come forth in our lives, when we allow God to fully take control of our lives. So concerning joy, God brings us joy, being in His presence makes us happy. When we get to a place where we leave that place of His presence and our joy is gone. It's God reminding us that He is our happiness. It's a good place to be. Because then we know that our joy is true, and all we have to do is enter His presence and that joy will return. Thank you Lord that all things good come from You.

Arcadia Fast and Prayer Focus

Fasting is going to be an essential part of our prayers for Arcadia High School. Without petition through fasting I do not believe we will see God move in the ways in which He desires to move on our campus. Throughout Scripture fasting is used as a sacrificial form of prayer warfare, which produces results available in no other way. It is this sacrifice that God is asking of His people who desire to see Him move on our campus.

This will be a fast similar to the one written about in Ezra chapter eight. Its purpose will be threefold.

Guidance – For God to show us the right path. That we would know His heart for Arcadia High and continuously walk in His will.

Assistance – For God to send His “reinforcements”. That He would guard our hearts from all evil and constantly fill us with the Holy Spirit so that we may be sustained by Him alone.

Substance – For God to guard our possessions and take back the land. That He would not allow the enemy to steal our worship and intercession and that He would trample sin under His foot and take Arcadia High back for His Kingdom.

The fast will be an all food fast, liquids only. God is calling for a people that will do whatever it takes to see His glory fall upon the Earth.

Let me know if you are able to join in this prayer and fast chain. You can leave a comment or talk to me whenever you get the chance. Please let me know as soon as possible, we want to get this going as soon as possible. God Bless.

The Waiting Room

Waiting on the Lord. It is one of the most difficult things to do as a follower of Jesus Christ. Knowing that He is always there, hearing our prayers, even when we don't feel Him can be pretty difficult to accept sometimes. We know He is always there, that He's always listening, but when we don't get stirred, when God doesn't tap into our emotions, sometimes it hurts. Our God is an emotional God, but that doesn't mean that He only works through emotion. We tend to think that if God doesn't make us all excited or if we aren't crying on the ground then His presence isn't there or He isn't moving. We look at these times with the Lord, the times that we don't feel His presence, and we call them "dry times". Beloved, this is a lie. God is always moving in our hearts, do not allow yourself to believe He isn't just because you don't feel it. With our feeble minds and feeble hearts we cannot always comprehend the way God moves in us. We can't always feel Him moving, nevertheless, every time we seek Him with our hearts, He is moving. Dry times only refers to emotional dryness, in that we can't feel God moving with our emotions, but that doesn't mean that He's just leaving us hanging. He's still doing something, and He's telling us to press in harder, He's beckoning us deeper into His Chambers. God is jealous for our love. Do not think of waiting on Him as a chore. Enjoy it! Know that God tests those whom He loves, and that He only wants to do work in our hearts in these times of waiting. He wants us to wait in His presence.

What is it about Morning Prayer?

By waking up in the morning and sacrificing our time, and our sleep, and praying to God, we are showing Him our dedication. God honors our sacrifices to Him. He takes delight in the willingness of His people to get up there in the cold morning and pray to Him. When revival comes, and the people turn to the Lord, it will be DIRECTLY LINKED WITH MORNING PRAYER. Morning prayer may very well be the most important time we spend praying for our campus. More so than any ALLIES event, worship gathering, or evangelizing. I urge everyone to come if it is in any way possible, God will honor your sacrifice, and He will hear our prayers. This is important, and it is God's Will to move through these gatherings.

Something About Your Love

God, our Father, Lord of all the earth. There is something about Your love. Why is it that every time I turn my back, You tell me You love me? God, I love You. But it's just not enough. My heart is filthy, how can it love You? God help me learn how to love like you. Teach your children Your heart Father. That we would understand the depth of Your love, only then can we love as You do. God You truly are amazing. Let Your love overcome every other thing in our lives. I pray for Your love to stir in us, that it would touch our hearts, and that we would feel the love from You that we were made to feel. God we were made to feel Your love in its fulness. Let us feel the true power of the Love of the Father. Father, we love You. Though we fail time and again, and though our attempts to show our love are feeble, You are pleased with us. So teach us Your love for us, that we may love as You do.

The Waterers

Arcadia High School has been set aside from the Kingdom of God. Many of us have spent countless hours praying for our school. Those who have been praying for the salvation of Arcadia High, have been faithful, and have been doing it out of the love of Christ. This past Saturday, Arcadia High students and alumni, along with students from other schools, people from all over Los Angeles, and some dedicated women of God who have been praying for our school and our city for over ten years now gathered to pray for the Spirit of God to come and invade our campus. We marched along the sidewalk around the school, praying and worshipping, pleading with the Lord to realease revival. An amazing time for sure, God is moving, it is evident, but this is the beginning. Now is where WE come in, OUR generation...

Romans 3:8
Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will recieve his own reward according to his own labor.

Those people that have been praying for over ten years now are the planters. They have planted the seeds for revival to spring up in this land. WE, OUR GENERATION, RIGHT NOW, THE CHRISTIANS ON CAMPUS...we are the waterers. We are the ones who go to school here every day, and it's our job to pray, intercede, preach, do whatever the Lord tells you to do. God wants to move on our campus. The oppurtunity is here to see our campus saved, to see all of our campus turn to the Lord. We have to open our eyes in the Spirit. We have to believe in the miraculous, we have to be going to morning prayer if possible. We need to show people Jesus, through everything we do. We can't be afraid of what people say about us, or whether or not people will look at us differently. We just have to do what God calls us to do. Sure maybe we WILL get made fun of, but you will know the you were obedient to God, and that people saw the Lord because of that.

Romans 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.

Paul refers to Adam's disobedience, he disobeyed God, and sin entered the world, making us all sinners. Paul then refers to Christ, He obeyed, and even though He knew He would have to die, He did it, out of love, and we were forgiven, and lifted out of sin. In the same way as Christ, we MUST obey the Lord. This verse scared me at first. But this is not a burden, it is a lifestyle. And it's one we have to live if we are going to see revival on our campus. Stay obedient to the Lord, in EVERYTHING YOU DO. Do this and we WILL see our campus saved. Believe it. It's time to water the seeds that have been sewn.
